EVENT DESCRIPTION
SCAS rescues and rehabilitates stray animals, we have a no-kill policy. The shelter is fully funded by public donation and run solely by a team of committed volunteers.
We welcome school and corporate groups who are willing to lend a hand to help make the shelter a more comfortable home for our community of doggies. This simple ‘gotong-royong’ exercise is a great team bonding activity for students and co-workers. Email us at [email protected] for further details.
- Time: Saturdays, from 11.00am-3.00pm
- Tasks: Paint Away + What a Dirty Job! + It’s a Dog’s Day!
- Participation fee: any amount of donation is welcomed!
Paint Away
- Time: Saturdays, from 11.00am-3.00pm
- Duration: 4-hours
- Task: Paint Kennels
- What to bring: Paint brush, paint (we’ll provide you with the paint code)
- What to wear: Slippers, t-shirt/shorts, towels, a clean change of clothes
- Bring your own drinking water and lunch!
What a Dirty Job!
- Time: Saturdays, from 11.00am-3.00pm
- Duration: 4-hours
- Task: Clean kennels, shelter compound, clear drains, general overall cleanliness.
- What to bring: Just yourself!
- What to wear: Old shoes and clothes that you won’t mind getting wet and dirty, towels, a clean change of clothes
- Bring your own drinking water and lunch!
It’s a Dog’s Day!
- Time: Saturdays, from 11.00am-1.00pm or from 1.00am-3.00pm
- Duration: 2-hours
- Task: Shampoo and give our dogs a scrub and apply tick-wash
- What to bring: Just yourself!
- What to wear: Old shoes and clothes that you won’t mind getting wet and dirty, towels, a clean change of clothes
- Bring your own drinking water and lunch!
